so much fun
This was a super peachy keen weekend. Friday we finally caught up with Joy for knitting and dinner. I had forgotten how yummy the coffee at Ancient Grounds was. Mmmmmm. Joy was hooking (mmg)a loverly green mohair number and I got some rounds in on both my current sock in progress and a lace tank top from the current interweave.
Saturday we went over to Seattle again, this time to see Jonathan Coulton at the Tractor Tavern. OMG that was so much fun. If you ever get the opportunity to see him, I can't recommend him highly enough. He played all our favorites (Code Monkey, Skull Crusher Island, First of May) and we now have some new favorites (Re Brains plus a whole lot more that aren't popping into my head at the moment). We got to play the zombies for "re brains" luckily, the very geeky audience all seemed to have had lots of practice.
Look, a blurry picture from my phone:

He seemed really shocked by the standing room only crowd and the stomping demand of an encore. It's nice to make someone who's still pretty unknown feel like a rock star for a night. :)
